Professor Mark Brown, Director of the National Institute for Digital Learning, has been made a Fellow of the prestigious European Distance and e-Learning Network (EDEN). He was presented with his Fellow Award at the recent EDEN annual conference in Jonkoping, Sweden. A DCU news item on the award reports that the purpose of the EDEN Fellow Scheme is to provide validation and support to professionals in Europe in the field of open, distance and e-learning, and to enhance their mobility within Europe through a respected scheme of recognition. Mark continues to serve on the EDEN Executive Committee.


Orna has been actively involved in a number of teaching-related initiatives since her appointment to the NIDL, including the Y1 Feedback project and development and piloting of Head Start Online. She is currently completing her PhD on the use of ePortfolios in education and continues to play an important role in the on-going redesign of DCU Connected programmes. Congratulations Orna!
